Marcel Kahn is being hailed as a hero for saving lives in the shooting at Santa Monica City College near Los Angeles that left 5 people dead.
But don’t tell that to Marcel. The Filipino American library worker is still shaken up by what happened and the thought of being so close to death.
Kahn helped to hide 8 other people in the library as the gunman entered and opened fire.
“Honestly, it just saddens me that this happened, this whole thing happened. Really unexpected,” he told ABS CBN.
“I only did what I could do and that was to follow my instinct. When that situation happens, you don’t know what you’re going to do,” he recalled.
