Actor George Takei is known to a new generation of fans for his witty postings and insightful commentaries on social media. It thus came as a shock to many of his fans when it was reported Takei employs a ghost writer to write the jokes posted on his Facebook page.
Fans reacted with anger and now, reports the International Business Times, his ghost writer is apologizing.
“I wrote an apology to George and Brad and their guy said he’d pass it on,” author and journalist Rick Polito said. “I just said that I’d been looking for any mention of my book I could get and that I hadn’t meant to expose anything.”
The revelation was made during an interview with blogger Jim Romenesko about Polito’s new book, Dark Shift. According to Polito, it was unintentional.
