Results of a poll just released finds Asian Americans overwhelmingly oppose same sex marriage, reports the Bilerico Project.
The survey of 9,000 Asian American voters from 14 states during the November 2012 election found just 37 percent support the rights of gays and lesbians to marry.
Forty-eight percent are opposed and 15 percent are undecided.
Foreign born Asian Americans with limited English proficiency and older had the strongest opposition.
The results were consistent across different Asian American subgroups including Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Filipinos, Asian Indians, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, and Indo-Caribbeans.
