Hawaii News Now: Gunman Caught on Camera in Honolulu’s Chinatown

Honolulu Chinatown Surveillance VideoSurveillance video of a gunman taunting a bakery worker is raising alarms in Honolulu’s Chinatown, reports Hawaii News Now.

The video brings to light a situation local business owners have been trying to bring attention to for a while.

“A lot of people selling drugs, a lot of people trying to buy drugs, standing in the middle of the road, calling up at the building to get in,” said the owner of Otto Cake, who simply goes by the name Otto.

The video shows an employee of Otto leaving the bakery and going to his car. A group of men blocked the worker’s path and started to taunt him. At one point, one of the men raises his t-shirt exposing a gun tucked under his belt.

“The gentleman that we saw carrying the gun, he walks all over Chinatown selling, and I’m just scared,” Otto said.

The bakery worker was eventually allowed to leave without further incident, but Otto says he’s been assaulted three times and one of his workers once.
