Yet another trade rumor with Jeremy Lin at the center of it all. Sportige is reporting that Lin and Omer Asik could be dealt by the Houston Rockets in a sign and trade for Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks.
Both USA Today and CBS Sports have reported that Dwight Howard has requested that the Rockets add another big name player to the Rocket before he joins the team. The Rockets are thought to be the frontrunner in the race to sign Howard.
It would cost about 20 million dollars to sign Smith and Lin and Asik are scheduled to earn a combined 16.6 million next season.
The thinking goes the Hawks need a point guard and a center for their front court.
