According to the Bleacher Report, the Houston Rockets must still decide if its going to keep Jeremy Lin or trade him.
As AsAmNews previously reported, the Rockets are considering a three player deal that would involve Jeremy Lin for Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks.
Dwight Howard confirmed tonight that he is going to the Houston Rockets. In a statement, Howard said “I’ve decided to become a member of the Houston Rockets. I feel its the best place for me and I am excited about joining the Rockets and I’m looking forward to a great season. I want to thank the fans in Los Angeles and wish them the best.”
Now the Rockets move on to building their team behind Howard. Rocket General Manager Daryl Morey stated this week that neither Lin or Omer Asik were on the trading block.
But that hasn’t stopped the rumors. Not only do rumors still persist about a trade of Lin, but now ESPN is reporting that Asik has no interest in being Howard’s back up or playing along side him.

RE: Possible Jeremy Lin Trade: At this point, it would be great for Lin if he could stay in Houston to get a chance to work with Howard. They would be great together on the pick and roll if Harden would let them. But my suspicion is Lin will be traded. Others who follow the team closer disagree, but I don't think Coach Keven McHale thinks Lin fits into his offensive scheme.
