Yahoo: First Year Without @AnnCurry A Bad One for @TheTodayShow

It was just a year ago July 8 that Today said its unceremonious good bye to Ann Curry.

Since then Savannah Guthrie has replaced Ann as co-host and the ratings for the former number one morning show have been on a downward spiral, according to Yahoo.

In the one year period since then, the Today Show lost 606,000 viewers from the first year Ann Curry anchored the program.

Today also dropped in the all important 25-54 demographics advertisers look to buy. Today went from 2.3 million viewers in that demographic during Curry’s first year to 1.9 million under Guthrie.
