In a bit that seemed to make Conan O’Brian uncomfortable, actress and model Olivia Munn told stories of her Tiger Mom hitting her on Conan, reports Uproxx.
The multi-cultural Munn was raised by a Chinese mother who grew up in Vietnam. Munn spent her childhood years in Tokyo. Her father is German and Irish.
She currently has a role in the HBO series, Newsroom and has made numerous most sexy woman lists, most recently number two on Maxim’s top 100 women in 2012. That sort of explains how she was dressed on Conan.
Check out her bit below. Do you fine it funny or do you think she’s painting a bad picture of Asians? Share your thoughts below.
From Judy Wing Lee RE: Are you offended or amused by Olivia Munn Tiger Mom stories: No, not offensive at all … Funny to hear it now, but growing up I was subjected to more corporal punishment than I care to remember, too
From Jonny Ning via Facebook RE: Are you offended or amused by Olivia Munn's Tigerh Mom storeis: If you're of Asian descent and don't have any stories like this, you probably feel really left out.
I don't really see anything wrong with this bit.
