Boxing icon and Filipino hero Manny Pacquiao says he’s considering running for president once he retires from boxing, reports the South China Morning Post.
He’s already a congressman, so running for president wouldn’t be a stretch.
“When I started boxing, of course I was planning, you know and thinking about getting to become a champion. So when I enter politics it’s the same thing.
“But, you know, it’s far away,” he said, adding: “It’s God’s will.”
He could have plenty of time to think about it if he loses to Brandon Rios on November 24.
The fight in Macau will take place at 10 in the morning to accommodate fans in the United States.
Many have speculated that if Pacquiao loses to Rios, he would retire.
Manny will go into the match having lost two matches in the row, the first time he has ever done that in his career.
