NAM: Poll Finds Strong Support for Obamacare from Asian Americans

Health Care, HospitalA multilingual Field Poll conducted in California finds strong support for the Affordable Care Act in the state, with highest support from Asian Americans coming from Vietnamese and Filipino Americans, reports New American Media.

76 percent of Vietnamese voters and 74 percent of Filipino voters support Obama Care. The program has over 80 percent support among African Americans and two-thirds support from the Latino community.

“One of the complicating factors … that will potentially hinder the outreach effort are voters’ predispositions toward the Affordable Care Act,” said Mark DiCamillo, director of The Field Poll.

Unfortunately those who could benefit the most from the Affordable Care Act may know the least about it. More on that in New American Media.
