When can racism turn into self hatred? That’s the disturbing story line behind Chink, a film by Quentin Lee, Koji Steven Sakai and Stanley Yung
Chink is the thriller feature film Friday night at the Burbank International Film Festival.
It’s about an Asian American man who internalizes racism and turns that into self hatred against all Asians. He evolves into a serial killer with a dream of becoming like Ted Bundy.
The film stars an impressive cast including Jason Tobin of Better Luck Tomorrow and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Eugenia Yuan from Memoirs of a Geisha), and Tzi Ma of Rush Hour.
