NBC apparently has high hopes for a new show in development based on actor Ken Jeong’s life.
The actor who stars in the TV show Community and the movie series The Hangover is now the subject of a new comedy in development for NBC, reports Spoiler TV.
The show is based on the life of Jeong who is also fully licensed medical doctor.
NBC has signed up to the show with penalty, which means if the pilot doesn’t air, the network will have to pay a penalty.
The show is being produced by Sony Pictures TV which also produces Community.
Jeong is set to serve as one of the executive producers.
