Fox’s Sleepy Hollow has opened to strong ratings in its first two episodes and actor John Cho has played a key role in both shows.
I won’t give away too many details, but according to Blasian, suffice it to say that Cho dies in the first episode, but comes back to life in the second in the fantasy mystery drama.
So far very little has been written about Cho’s role in the show. Blasian sees this as another example of media treatment of Asian American men that matter.
She calls it the Skip-Over-the-Asian-Guy Effect. You can read more about that, along with more on Cho in Sleepy Hollow in Blasian.
Sleepy Hollow airs Monday nights at 9/8C on Fox
RE: @JohntheCho plays key role in Sleepy Hollow, but does anyone notice?: Traditionally, the Black character was the first to be killed off. Now it appears that Asian is the new Black in America.
