A marker will be laid down Sunday commemorating the work famed architect Maya Lin did designing Rosa Park Circle in Grand Rapids, MI., reports WOOD-TV.
Lin best known for her work on the Vietnam Wall in Washington, DC incorporated two fountains into her design of the circle.
The first has a cascading water fall flowing from one half of the fountain to the other. The second creates a room full of mist one can either walk into or enjoy sitting.
The grass that connects the two fountains is meant to represent rolling waves.
