Filipino American student organizations from more than 40 campuses competed in the annual Friendship Games this weekend at California State University, Fullerton, reports the Daily Titan
The students represented campuses mostly from California, but some came from as far as Arizona State and the University of Arizona.
The idea is for the students to celebrate their culture, pride and traditions.
“It’s actually my first time at Friendship Games, and so far I’m having so much fun!” Mikayla Asercion, a Loyola Marymount University student, said. “You don’t have to be Filipino to have so much fun.”
The students from San Jose State University this year won first prize.
