Carrie Ann Inaba, George Takei, Maggie Q and Justin Long were just some of the Asian Americans in Hollywood who joined in celebrating the 20th anniversary of CAPE, Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment, reports MSN.
Among those recognized at the gala were the cast of CBS’ Hawaii Five -O, Maggie Q of Nikita and the creators of Supah Ninjas on Nickelodeon, along with You Tube’s Ryan Higa.
George Takei recalled that when he started, there were barely enough Asians to fill up a room, let alone start an organization. Advances have been made, but a whole lot more work needs to be done. You can read more about the gala on MSN.
