A Filipino American comedian and his partner of ten years were among the first to get married in New Jersey after the state legalized gay marriage, reports ABS CBN
Rich Kiamco joined in matrimony with David Gibson (pictured left with Rich center).
“It also speaks of something bigger that’s happening because this is an arc of human rights,” Kiamco said, “We are standing up for so many other people behind us that want to be treated as equal beings in this society.”
The couple was among seven who were married just after midnight Monday by Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop.
