Rob GronowskiIt’s the kind of thing you might say among friends.

But when you’re a public figure, it’s probably best to play it straight.

New England Patriot tight end Rob Gronowski attended a fan event this weekend in Foxboro.

An Asian fan wearing a Gronowski jersey caught the tight end’s eye when the fan began dancing.

“They told me he could only cook fried rice.” Sports Illustrated reports Gronowski saying into the microphone.

He then went on to refer to the fan as Leslie Chow, Ken Jeong’s character in the Hangover.

You can find out what an event organizer did to stop Gronowski in Sports Illustrated and in the video below from TMZ.

  1. RE: New England Patriot tight end caught mocking Asian fan: Well if an Asian American man is willing to be a clown and a laughing stock for white folks, such as the fan, and Ken Jeong’s character in the movies, then you can expect this kind of stereotypical bullshit. Can’t complain much if you do it to yourselves.
