The uproar over the “kill everyone in China” remark on Jimmy Kimmel Live is turning into an international incident, reports the Daily News.
China is now demanding that ABC take further action to deal with the matter.
“ABC should face up to its mistakes, respond to the just response of the Chinese community with a sincere attitude and prevent a repetition of such incidents,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Monday, according to a translation by CCTV News.
Kimmel last week personally met with the protestors, apologized on air and the network has issued several apologies.
China has not specifically stated what else it wants the network to do, but several protest signs at rallies in more than 20 cities this past weekend called for Kimmel’s firing.
