Holland’s Got Talent judge Cornelis Heuckeroth. doesn’t see what all the fuss is about over his comments directed at a Chinese contestant and won’t apologize, reports the International Business Times.
The remarks widely perceived as racist included “Which number are you singing? Number 39 with rice?” and “Surplise. Honestly, this is the best Chinese I’ve had in weeks. And it’s not a takeaway,”
“I’m glad I live in the Netherlands, where I can say this sort of things for freedom of speech is highly regarded,” Heuckeroth said.
He claimed the uproar is mostly coming from the United States which has its own problems of racism to deal with and from China.
