Ann Curry (photo by Lia Chang) reportedly has a window in her contract to leave NBC early next year, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, the popular journalist is not currently in any talks with any other network.
Some may be scared away by her current $12 million deal with NBC which runs out in 2014. Relations with her current employer have been difficult since the awkward transition of replacing her with Savannah Guthrie on the anchor desk of Today
A source at CBS is quoted as saying there is no place for her in the news division. Surprisingly the story states that she is not in talks with CNN either which her former boss Jeff Zucker now leads and where it was widely speculated a year ago that Curry was being considered to replace Anderson Cooper.
Sources also say there are no talks underway with Al Jazeera.
ABC News, which just lost Katie Couric to Yahoo, is not mentioned in the report.
So what are Curry’s best options right now? You can read about that in the Hollywood Reporter.
