Unless the Rockets can get another point guard, it seems unlikely Jeremy Lin will be traded by the Houston Rockets anytime soon.
CBS reports that starting point guard Patrick Beverley is out four to six weeks with a hand injury.
That moves third stringer Aaron Brooks into the starting point guard position, at least until Lin can come back from his back injury.
Lin has been practicing, but has not yet returned to game action.
It has been widely reported that the Rockets had put Lin on the trading block. Stories have had Houston talking to the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and Chicago Bulls–just to name a few teams.
Of those possibilities, the Brooklyn Nets would seem to be the most likely with the Nets reportedly offering point guard Deron Williams. But Williams himself is coming back from ankle sprains that have slowed this elite point guard.
