An Indian American owned hotel chain has set up a training program to teach its employees how to spot child trafficking and prevent it, reports India West.
Vision Hospitality is a Tennessee based company owned by Mitch Patel. It’s the first in the state to become part of the Tourism Child Protection Code of Conduct.
“This is pretty much a hidden crime,”
said Ann Coulter of the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga.
“These girls are not being put on the street because it can be so easily arranged over the Internet. You and I walking to a movie at night aren’t going to see this crime. But lodging-industry workers are in a position to know what they’re seeing.”
