Here’s a great holiday story which shows there are still honest people in what can sometimes be a coldhearted world.
Saying he just wanted to do the right thing, taxi cab driver Gerardo Gamboa turned in a bag full of $300,000 in cash a passenger left in the back seat of his cab, reports Crossmap.
He immediately called his dispatcher and asked that his next passenger witness that he didn’t take anything for himself.
“I don’t care (if it’s) $10 (or) higher. My dignity is not for sale, and that’s the way I am. That’s the way our parents taught us when I was a kid,” cabbie Gerardo Gamboa told KVVU. “All I wanted to do was just call my dispatcher and return it, and this is the only chance I have to show cab drivers in Las Vegas are not bad people.”
