Chinese entertainers help ring in New Year at Times Square

Entertainers organized by the Sino-American Friendship Association and the Shandong Provincial Tourism Administration helped ring in the New Year on New York’s Time Square last night, reports the China Daily.
Highlights included a kung fu demonstration and Chinese dance show. Rep Grace Meng (D-NY) gave brief remarks along with Sun Guoxiang, consul general of China in New York.
Confucius mingled through the crowd. Shandong is the home of the Chinese teacher and philosopher.
