The first lesbian to receive a same sex fiance’ visa from the US Embassy in Manilla has married her sweetheart of ten years in Santa Clara, CA, reports Gay Star News.
Maria Cecilia Limson Gahuman has stayed together with Carla Antonio despite being separated by international borders. Carla serves in the US Navy. Maria lives in the Philippines.
Same sex marriage is not legal in the Philippines.
“I was ready to just go back to the Philippines to be together,” said Antonio.

“She wanted to quit the US Navy. I keep reminding her that just keep on praying.”
They applied for a same sex visa once they learned they could get married. The application was approved in three months.
