Billboard Magazine announced tonight that Janice Min will take over as co-president & chief creative officer of both Billboard and the Hollywood Reporter.
The Korean American Min ,44, revitalized the Hollywood Reporter when she took over as editorial director in 2010. She will now try to pull the same feat at Billboard, which according to the New York Times, has been shrinking and losing circulation.
“Music is one of the most powerful mediums around,” she told the Times, “Billboard, because of its charts and coverage, has the credibility and authority to access great stories and the people who are making news. It’s the music industry after all — we should be able to have some fun with that.”
