Examiner.com: CNN confronts Dennis Rodman over American missionary held in North Korea

Kenneth BaeFormer NBA great Dennis Rodman likes to brag how he has a great relationship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

He is currently on a basketball goodwill tour in the country, his third trip there.

But he didn’t take too kindly to suggestions that he use his influence to win the release of Kenneth Bae, a Christian missionary and Washington state man who has been held in North Korea since 2012, reports Examiner.com.

Rodman response to the questioning from CNN’s Chris Cuomo shocked Bae’s family

“Kenneth Bae did one thing. If you understand what Kenneth Bae did,” he said. “Do you understand what he did in this country? No, no, no, you tell me, you tell me. Why is he held captive here in this country, why? I would love to speak on this.”

The lack of support from Rodman didn’t sit too well with Bae’s family. Some felt Rodman implied that Bae had did something wrong and deserved to be in prison.

“This isn’t some game. This is about a person’s life, ” said Terri Chung speaking about her brother Kenneth Bae . “He’s a father of three, a son and a brother. Dennis Rodman is not a diplomat and he’s definitely not in a position to pass judgment on Kenneth Bae.”

You can see her entire interview on CNN.
