Mindy Kaling has had quite a week.
She appeared in Elle Magazine, her first major cover photo.
The writer, producer and actress was one of four television stars featured in a series of covers, but her’s got the most attention.
Kaling says she’s insulted by all the criticism of the cover from fans who sought to defend her, saying Elle didn’t show her full body on the cover because of her curvy figure, reports Contact Music.
She explains rather comically the way only Kaling can.

“‘What, Elle, you can’t put her big, fat body on the magazine? Why? ‘Cause she’s just fat and gruesome? Why can’t we look at her beautiful fat body?'” she told David Letterman.
