San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee will get a prime seat at President Obama’s State of the Union address tonight.
SF Gate is reporting he’ll be the special guest of First Lady Michelle Obama along with Jason Collins who is the first NBA player to come out openly as gay and Boston marathon bombing survivors Carlos Arredondo and Jeff Bauman.
Tonight’s speech will focus on economic inequalities and the widening gap between rich and poor. The President is expected to lay out his agenda for economic prosperity.
San Francisco is in the middle of a tech and construction boom and unemployment has been cut in half.
