Arrest made in beating of Filipino American gay journalist

NBC New York is reporting that an arrest has been made in the severe beating of Filipino American and gay journalist Randy Gener.(thanks to Troy Espera for the tip).

Leighton Jennings, a 24-year old man from Queens, was charged with second-degree assault.

This was the sketch police had previously released of the suspect

Meanwhile, $50,000 has been raised by friends to help pay the medical bills for Randy’s medical bills.
