Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia called a Scotus decision upholding the incarceration of Japanese Americans wrong, but predicted something like the incarceration camps could happen again during wartime.
The Seattle PI reports Scalia made the remarks during a class he was teaching at the University of Hawaii.
“Well, of course, Korematsu was wrong,” said Scalia. ”And I think we have repudiated in a later case. But you are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again.”
