For the first time, information compiled for the Civil Rights Data Collection has been disaggregated to include specific information about Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, reports NW Asian Weekly.
The CRDC shows 7 percent of NHPI boys were suspended from school versus 3 percent of the girls, but in Mississippi the rate was 41 percent and 22 percent.
The information comes from the US Department of Education Office of Civil Rights and is compiled from every public school and school district across the country.
