Hawaii News Now: @brunomars has had his eye on stardom since age 3

Bruno Mars Hawaii’s Bruno Mar returned to the Island State this week for three sold out shows beginning tonight at Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, reports Hawaii News Now.

There was a time the young star thought the 8,800 seat Blaisdell would be too big for him. He doesn’t think that any more.

His father Peter Gene Hernandez remembers when he would have to put Bruno up on a platform because the audience could barely see him on stage.

Hernandez would get up at 3 in the morning to go to the bathroom and see Bruno watching tapes imitating the moves of Elvis Presley.

Bruno began studying those tapes at age 3, eventually stealing the show as an Elvis impersonator in his dad’s 18 piece Doowop group, the Love Notes.

“Bruno somehow deep in his soul, feels like he knew from a very young age that he was going to conquer the world with his music.

“Man, it was like a meteor jumping from level to level and I watched him play rooms this size.”

You can learn more about Bruno’s rise from a child performer to a Superstar performing at the Superbowl in the clip below from Hawaii News Now.
