Daily Beast: Mark Zuckerberg group playing hardball for immigration reform

Mark Zuckerberg Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg issued a not so subtle warning to Republicans that they could face retribution at the ballot box if they don’t pass comprehensive immigration reform, reports the Daily Beast (photo by  Jason McElweenie).

A survey released by The Council for American Job Growth found that after reading a possible negative ad linking Republicans to blocking a bill that aided Dreamers, support for incumbent Republicans in swing states with large Asian American and Hispanic populations, dropped from 51 percent to 45 percent.

The Council is the progressive arm of the Zuckerberg’s FWD.us.

“The data makes clear that there are real electoral consequences for Republicans in these districts, because voters tie them to their party’s own failure to take action on passing reform legislation,” FWD.us spokeswoman Kate Hansen said.
