Sampan: Five top mental health myths in Chinese American community

He listed the five top mental health myths in the Chinese American community in Sampan.

They are:

–Having a mental illness means you’re crazy

–People with psychiatric illnesses are more violent than other people

–Mental illness is a Western phenomenon

–People with psychiatric problems just need to work harder, or must have done something wrong in a previous life

–There are no treatments for mental illnesses
