Care 2: Use of racial slur found in NSA document

NSA New documents leaked by Edward Snowden reveal the unfortunate attitude of some of those Americans who work to supposedly protect our national security (photo by Donkey Hotey).

Care 2 reports that a training manual refers to hypothetical targets of surveillance as “Mohammed Raghead.”

The uncovered manual is part of a series of leaks which include the names of five Muslim American civil rights activists and lawyers .

“Any use of racial or ethnic stereotypes, slurs, or other similar language by employees is both unacceptable and inconsistent with NSA policy and core values,” said a National Security Agency spokesperson.

What does the use of the slur mean in the larger scheme? You can read about that in Care 2.
