Armed with a Camera FellowshipTen fellowships are available for emerging APA media artists to complete a short five minute film that displays the vision of Visual Communications, a non-profit dedicated to honest and accurate portrayal of Asian Pacific Americans, reports Rafu Shimpo.

VC’s Armed with a Camera fellowships provide up to 10 cash stipends for fellows from Southern California to pursue their works.

All completed projects will be showcases at events throughout Los Angeles, including the 2015 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and other venues nationwide.

The deadline to apply is August 29 at 5pm and the deadline to complete your work is March 13.

Visual Communications has also launched an IndieGoGo campaign with a goal of raising $50,000 for the fellowships.
