Sikh 24: Sikh Group Opposes Indian PM Modi’s Visit to White House

Sikhs for Justice anti-Modi ad Sikhs for Justice has launched a Facebook ad camp opposing the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the White House, reports Sikh 24.

The newly elected Modi was widely criticized for his treatment of minorities including Sikhs, Muslims and Moolnivasi while he was chief minister of Gujarat.

Modi is scheduled to visit the White House September 30 and there is a push for him to be invited to address a joint session of Congress.

Until his election as India’s Prime Minister, Modi was banned from obtaining a visa to visit the United States because many blame him for not doing enough to stop the riots of Gujarat that left thousands dead in 2002.
