Assumptions that those who have Asian eye surgery are doing it because they want to look white are wrong, according to a blog by Megan Willett for the Business Insider.
Quoting from a piece in New York Magazine, Willett says Asian eye surgery is not to attain the double eye lids of Caucasians, but its to achieve an Asian ideal of wider eyes to appear more alert.
Willett says the procedures are completely different.
