Filipino Reporter: Boy still in coma after Tornado in Virginia

Lheandrew Lloyd BalabatA 14-year old boy remains in a coma while his parents will be buried today in a service in Jersey City, New Jersey, reports the Filipino Reporter (photos from Facebook)

Lheandrew Lloyd Balabat was severely injured and his parents killed after a tornado at a campground near Norfolk, Virginia  blew down a tree and struck their tent July 24.

Lheandrew’s two younger sisters were staying in another tent and were treated for non-life threatening injuries. They are now staying with relatives.

The boy’s principal describes the 14-year old as a likable kid.

“He is extremely polite — went out of his way to say hello and speak to every teacher on a personal level all the time,” Francine Luce of Ezra L. Nolan Middle School, told The Jersey Journal.
