A 14-year old boy remains in a coma while his parents will be buried today in a service in Jersey City, New Jersey, reports the Filipino Reporter (photos from Facebook)
Lheandrew Lloyd Balabat was severely injured and his parents killed after a tornado at a campground near Norfolk, Virginia blew down a tree and struck their tent July 24.
His parents, Lord Balatbat and Lolibeth Ortega, were both crushed to death.
Lheandrew’s two younger sisters were staying in another tent and were treated for non-life threatening injuries. They are now staying with relatives.
The boy’s principal describes the 14-year old as a likable kid.

“He is extremely polite — went out of his way to say hello and speak to every teacher on a personal level all the time,” Francine Luce of Ezra L. Nolan Middle School, told The Jersey Journal.
