CAAM: PBS American Experience to Document Story of Vietnamese Refugees

Vietnamese RefugeesThe PBS series The American Experience wants to update and preserve the story of Vietnamese refugess in the United States, reports CAAM.

The show plans to interview 200 people to answer the question, what’s happened to the refugees 40 years after the fall of Saigon?

The project is inspired by Rory Kennedy’s film, Last Days in Vietnam which debut in January at the Sundance Film Festival.

Stories collected will be posted on the American Experience website and archived at the Library of Congress.
