NY Post: New Beer Inspired by Discovery in Chinatown

beer A team of archaeologists who discovered a bottle of beer from the 1800s during a dig in Brooklyn’s Chinatown have recreated it and are offering it for sale (file photo).

The NY Post reports that the bottle of “California Pop Beer” was found near the former site of The Atlantic Garden, a popular hangout in the 1850s.

Chrysalis Archaeology tracked down the patent for the beer, and have now brewed their own batch.
