Get Early Look at Curtis Chin’s Tested

Tested Fundraiser  You can get a 15 minute sneak peek at Tested, the new film by director Curtis Chin this Tuesday in New York.

Chin, who is best know for his documentary, Vincent Who?, explores the controversy over admissions policies at New York’s elite public high schools, the under enrollment of blacks and Hispanics and the impact of any change in admissions on Asian Americans who dominate the enrollment at some of these schools.

Chin sent the following note:

As the controversy over diversity at our nations top schools continues to heat up, we’ve been making great progress on our film, Tested. We’re doing a grassroots fundraiser in NYC next Tuesday to help us raise some post-production money to hire a graphics animation person and a composer. Would you mind posting about this? The invite says a 15-minute clip, but it will be more like 25-30 minutes. Oh, also, we’re still taking taking submissions for composers, so if anyone wants to write some music for a documentary on education, please have them email us at [email protected]

The fundraiser takes place at 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City from 7-9pm on Tuesday September 16. The suggested donation is $10 and if you want to be an honorary host, all you have to chip in is $50.
