Citing an article from Britain’s The Sun, Contact Music reports that doctors have removed a cancerous growth from the face of George Takei.
He arrived at a fundraiser over the weekend with a bandage over his face and told people doctors had warned him the growth could be an early sign of cancer.
Takei is quoted as saying “I went to my doctor for my physical last week and he detected an early sign of skin cancer here. He cut it out and that’s why I’m wearing this (bandage).”
In typical Takei fashion, the actor turned the bandage into a joke. You can read about that in Contact Music.
