Harvard Crimson: Another Email Sent in Death Threat Case at Harvard

CATEGORIES

HarvardA Harvard intercultural group spoke out for more dialogue on race relations as a third email hit the in boxes of those who received death threats Friday, reports the Harvard Crimson.

The email came from the same email address that two previous messages were sent to mostly Asian American women students.

The sender self-identified as a 15-year old Vietnamese person living in France.  In the latest message, the sender denied his previous email was intended to apologize for the death threats.

“I am mostly confused, honestly,” said Michelle Chan who is graduating in 2015.  “I wish it would be over with.”

An open letter calling for a community discussion has been sent to the campus community from The Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations.

“There is a space for this dialogue beyond the communities and individuals directly affected,” the letter stated.

A campus town hall on the emails will be held this evening at 6:30 at the Holden Chapel.
