Laker Nation is reporting that Steve Nash is likely to be ruled out for the entire season due to nerve issues.
The development, barring a trade, leaves no doubt Jeremy Lin will start for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
Lin returned from an ankle injury on Tuesday after sitting out a week. He’s gained the confidence of Kobe Bryant.
“Jeremy Lin makes a big difference,” said Bryant. “He creates shots for others. You have somebody else who can penetrate and make plays for others, put pressure on the defense. It’s a really big difference.”
Lin says he’s feeling good about the relationship he’s developing with Kobe.

“Im very comfortable,” said Lin. “Being comfortable with him is more like having a relationship. Him empowering me. Stay aggressive. Take those shots. When you have someone known for closing games and he’s trying to empowering me, that’s huge. Every player, especially a young player. That’s probably one of the most important things.”
Lin also got the endorsement of Laker’s legend Magic Johnson who sent out this tweet.
