Democrat Roy Cho has lost his bid to unseat six-term incumbent Republican Rep. Scott Garrett in New Jersey, reports NJ.com.
Cho proved to be a formidable opponent, raising $1.2 for his campaign after the two previous Democratic contenders in 2010 and 2012 raised very little money.
He attacked Garrett for what he labeled “extremist views” that other members of his own Republican party rejected. He also touted traditional Democratic values as fighting for the middle class, women and seniors. The mergers and acquisitions attorney indicated he may not be done with politics despite his defeat.
“I’m honored to have had your faith and support,” Cho said, “I will not stop fighting.”
