Strong opposition is building in a bid to keep pick up artist Julien Blanc out of Japan.
The executive coach with Real Social Dynamics is scheduled to be in Japan later this month, but protestors submitted some 36,000 signatures to the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau demanding that Blanc be denied entry, reports the Japan Times.
His dating tips have been internationally condemned. A video shows Blanc forcibly grabbing Japanese women in what some have compared to a sexual assault.
“I hope that this petition will not only prevent him from entering Japan, but also send a strong message that misogyny, harassment/abuse and racism are things that the global community is increasingly realizing are unacceptable and that those who perpetuate these views and actions now have fewer and fewer places they can get away with it,” said one petition supporter who asked that her name not be used.
