The family of a Vietnamese American woman is suing Honda saying she would be alive today if the auto maker had alerted drivers of its faulty airbag, reports WFTV.
That airbag had been recalled, but the family says it had no idea.
51-year old Hien Tran died in September when the airbag in her 2001 Honda Accord exploded during a crash. Tran is survived by eight brothers and sisters.
“They’re out there wondering, ‘Who would try to kill my sister? Who would do this terrible terrible thing?'”said family attorney Hank Didier.
The airbag is made by a company called Takata which Didier alleges knew about a problem with its airbag 10 years ago.
